Thank you! Yes, I have the p400 6 cylinder. I've been reading about GAP tool and Dynamic mode is the main thing I want actually. Does it hold gears longer in Auto mode or does it only improve performance in Standard shift mode? The Defender comfort mode is so slushy it wants to shift you into 6th/7th as soon as possible. I was playing with S mode and the green up-shift light prompts me to shift up to 6th/7th at 35-40 mph. Prob a lot of comfort modes are set up this way nowadays, but I'm used to Dynamic mode so definitely want to get that software unlocked on Defender.

I programmed my Audis with OBD-11 which is basically the same thing as GAP IID. I actually started an OBD-11 thread in 2018 for Q8 on Audiworld. The thread is still active at 1100 posts but Audi put SFD2 security in and locked out the OBD-11 tool. People are having issues trying to program their cars now. That really sucks it's so cool being able to make adjustments at home. I don't have good range on my wifi at home, do you happen to know if GAP works ok with just like 5G?

Congrats and welcome to the club! The overall build quality and reliability will not be as good as the Audi, but there is literally no car on the market that has the combination of styling, on road ride drivability and off road capability as the Defender. And the reliability/quality issues are overblown IMHO. I am 22K miles in. Mechanically perfect. Only issue was a warranty replacement of the main nav system/ (Not the screen but the unit under one of the seats.) I suspect this ws just a software thing they couldn't figure out.

I love the truck. Enjoy.
