It's interesting to see how this Trek is doing. I remember these being listed for 100k at dealers when they came out. The market is def softening.

Not even close to the $100k mark some dealers were charging a couple months ago for OEM ones straight out of the Trek competition. From the comments there some people think it is worth another $15k. I still say ridiculous to pay $90k to $100k for a 4 cylinder. I think $72k is about right.

Ya I think its crazy to see it that low already but I agree with you. I think the cars were 60k msrp with about 10-15k add ons so seems about right.

That's the thing about auctions, they kinda determine exactly what something is worth.

ln the U.K. a vehicle like this will generally make less at auction because buyers wonder why it hasn't been retailed.

Dealers use auctions to offload vehicles they can't or don't want to sell for some reason.

Bad spec, unresolved issues, high mileage, unpopular engine etc

If the owner had left this in full Trek livery, it probably would have gotten more... the modifications depressed the value.

Probably would have done better in Trek livery on Autotrader tbh.

If I were looking for a Trek, I wouldn't have considered this... and the way you get $$ for a Trek is you have a buyer who... wants a Trek.

Thank you.

Here in the US, our dealerships will do you just as dirty but, at least our swans won't break your arm.

Sincerely (I don't really mean that).

You had me at beans

That SE on cars and bids that was linked earlier looked like a great buy. Winch already installed. Correct colo(u)r too.
It does appear that sanity is returning to the used market. I guess most folks that rally wanted one have already gotten one. They're becoming very common round my way. My waving arm is getting tired. Local dealer is still asking a 10k ADM on new ones.
