I have eyehooks on top of my FR rack. It is great when needing to lash something down on the rack. You can move them easily to the proper distance.

I think I am just going to add the camping style ladder hooks on the side and then pack that collapse ladder from them. Seems cheap, easy, and wont have a giant ladder hanging off the side of my car.

Wow, that FR ladder is one fugly piece of goods. What were they thinking. Then again, I find the FR rack pretty darn fugly too.

Well that looks significantly worse than the OEM, lucky8, and voyager ladders. Yikes.

This is exactly what I use. It's so simple. Yes, also having to carry a ladder is just more stuff to lug around, but from a functional standpoint, it is so simple and sturdy. I am still tossing around the idea of getting the LR side ladder, but my much cheaper solution just works so well. And is, well..cheaper.

Thinking of adding the voyager ladder so I can stop carrying around the extendible ladder for the RTT. Seemed like it wouldn’t be a big deal to carry around the ladder, but it kind of is given the limited storage space in the Defender. Voyager ladder looks better to me than all the other options and I have no need for a rear ladder like the L8. That’s just not useful back there.

Ya I am just going to stick with a deployable RTT ladder for now even though I don't have a tent. Not really liking anything I am seeing yet and we are still relatively early on so I am sure more will come.

Has anyone added the FR drop down table to the back of the defender yet?
