Has anyone noticed from the my23 defenders fuel flap doesnt lock when the car is locked. Has anyone been able to sort it? I raised the issue with JLR and they said nothing we can do.

If you look on your build sheet it was removed. There is no locking fuel door

 

There never was a locking fuel door to remove.

 

On my build sheet it indicates "LESS Fuel Filler Flap - Central Locking"

 

It doesnt say that on my build sheet

 

Mine does under "Standard Configuration"

Mine is a MY23 P300 110

 

My ‘22 D90X V8 does not have a locking fuel door and is LESS on the build sheet. Our ‘23 incoming D110X states same as well.

 

I think that could be an across the board sheet for all LR models.


No Defender in MY 20,21,22 has a locking fuel cap. Regardless of spec. Perhaps MY23 is different. I doubt it though.

Also be aware that there are differences between NAS and ROW models. There was another thread around here on the subject and I think it came down to a nationality difference. But I'm old and may have missed the nuances as to why some have, some don't. You can always strike it up to "Dropped due to chip shortage" though.

(NAS - North American Spec and ROW - Rest Of World. Or something like that)
