Good Lord, that’s beautiful! The week I was visiting Hennessy Buckhead Atlanta to order my Pangea they had a Keswick Series III out front and I so, so, so wished JLR would have offered that color on the D662. Among the offerings, I love Pangea and Tasman best, but still think there’s too much metallic in the modern Pangea; yours looks absolutely perfect. Wish I could see it in person.

Cheers!

Absolutely a beauty! Well done and worth the time. Can you give us the specs? How long from when you started stripping to finished reattaching? How long to peel everything off? How long to put it all back on? Round numbers fine. Lie a LOT to entice me to do it...

Looks absolutely stunning! Wow, that should really be a stock color option for this car. I definitely would have ordered mine in it.

Sorry took some time, I was enjoying driving it
Not gone Lie to entice you about this.

Teardown / stripping 40hrs, this is including carefully removing the parts with less breaking clips as possible, cleaning and preparing, archive the parts, ordering new parts - I took my time on this to be confident to get it all back together in the same order and keep it original / or better on some parts.

Rebuild on some parts faster than stripping, others took seriously more time.
Spraying the innerwheel wells took me more time than planned. So same time, around 40hrs

What do you need:
Workshop manual digital complete.
A good and convenient working space where you can leave it safe and work !
Basic automotive tools including, 4T floor jack, heatgun, automatic punch tool and flap tool eraser.

Parts and more :
Double side automotive tape
Clips side cladding, I used over 50 pcs new
A few clips for bonnet checker plate.
New outer whetherseals.
2 spraycans with 2K color matching for the inner wheel wells.
Masking tape, sanding pads, degreaser and foil.
Transfer tape for re-using labels ( if carefully removed before )

Costs , excluding my ( sparetime ) hours
Bodyshop, Sanding, masking, Respray and finishing the new paint $ 3250,-
Parts and some tools I needed to buy ( automatic punch tool and flap tool eraser ) $ 500,-

I did enjoy it, know the car so much better now.
I'am convinced it is really a good designed car, LR put a lot of time and energy in this Defender .

Time not driving the car , 6 weeks - you'll need a second car in that period.

Any questions, let me know.

@Defendit.. Thanks! That was perfect. Now to start looking for someone in the Austin / San Antonio area to spray it for me...<g>. Nothing you did scared me off, so well done! Now to keep plotting, planning & dreaming of my next changes. I'm long on thinking, slow on doing.
