So I knew I wanted the expedition rack but was undecided on the side gear carrier. I went ahead and installed the rack but now ordered the box after the fact. I know you’re supposed to put the carrier on before the rack ideally but was wondering if anyone installed the carrier after.

Im thinking I could get the back foot off and loosen the rest of the feet enough to get the back foot out and slide the slot nut for the bolt in.

Anyone try this before?

 

I believe I remember Simon having it in one of his vids (PowerfulUK) - not 100% sure though.
