V8 people, you have what I want and I'm not talking about your gas bill.

I've called two LR dealers and they can't tell me what the part number is for the black steering wheel bezel. There are 3 other colors:

LR133015 dark grey
LR133014 light grey
LR133013 white

Yes, I tried 012 & 016 but those are not it.

I want the black bezel and not the cheap overlay from Amazon & eBay.




Almost positive it's not different to fit the paddles and I do not want the Alcantera. Just need the part # for the bezel or a VIN for a V8 so I can call and get the part #.

For the record I assume you're talking about the parts that are light gray in this P400 wheel?

Maybe removing and having a shop professionally finish it would be easiest and cheapest?

Personally I love how it matches my magnesium crossbeam.

 

Listen to @NoGaBiker . There's a thread on here of some super hero that took all the trim out and had it professionally painted (powdercoated?) to the color he wanted. Looked GREAT. If you are going to go thru the effort, getting the "official V8" part shouldn't be the biggest hang up. It will be much cheaper and likely better quality if you just get it powdercoated the way you want.

I definitely remember that thread. I'm not sure if I'm just too lazy to go through all that and waiting for the paint shop or what but I kinda just wanted to punch a buy now button.

 

I'm BIG on the buy, too! For this one, the install is the same whether you buy it or paint it.

 

The steering wheel matches the rest of the metal in the car, are you planning to replace that as well?

 

I think it's the taking it out, putting the airbag back in and driving without it while waiting for some local paint shop to disappoint me with their mediocre work the way almost literally everyone else does lately.

I have 4 remodeling projects going with my businesses and flooring throughout our 3 year old house all being done now. Meanwhile my incredibly amazing wife who I've been with for 30 years has breast cancer. Sometimes you just want the world to work with you and hand you something easy once in a while.

Our businesses are slammed busier than ever. I'm quite seriously selling my health for money right now and I'm incredibly stressed out. It's totally ridiculous to say that here but I just had to get it out because I have to wake up every day and be positive and supportive because she deserves it.
