Any luck with Alibaba? Has anyone found a reputable supplier and if so, who?

to be fair Steven, I’ve been buying from Alibaba for over 10 years now, as long as as you look at the reviews, the sellers are fine and I’ve not had any issues. The way Inlook at it, there are over 10,000 manufacturers in Asia who are too small to have a web presence or retail outlet. These are the majority of manufacturers that actually supply JLR, Porsche, Mercedes-Benz, Volkswagen, Kia, Toyota and lots of other manufacturers. At the end of the day, your invariably cutting out the middle man, and their margin.
I know there are a number of ‘copy manufacturers’ but look at the reviews……you should be ok 👍🏼

They supply Toyota, Porsche and MB but they’re too small to build a website?

I think he actually meant to say Landwind, Zotye, and Ineos.

Yes, they probably have websites, but for manufacturing….that’s why Alibaba took them under their wing as Ali-Express. It’s like the Asian version of Amazon.

I’m curious about this as well.
Does anyone have first hand experience with parts from Ali-express?
Maybe a preferred vendor?

I see racks that look a lot like factory ones, for a quarter of the $2300 + tax the dealership wants in my neck of the woods.

Any insight would be appreciated.

These guys are based in southern China - make lots of interesting defender mods. FWIW defenders are super popular in beijing among the affluent - big aftermarket mod scene
