Default Have you guys painted the mud flaps?

I just bought the oem large mud flaps. It is usually rubber/plastic texture. But to blend with my silver and black color, I would like it to compliment the black shiny running boards and rear over hangs.

Those are not the large, classic flaps though, right?

Yes. The front are shorter and the rears are longer.

Not sure how those will last. Even with flex additive, paint has to flex to extremes. Paint also does not want to adhere to this type of plastic. Will be far worse than the OEM textured flat black when the paint is chipping off in a few weeks. Seems to be a disaster in the making.

thinly painted, not a thick layer to possibly crack. more on the clear vs basecoat. hopefully time will tell. hair dyer to facilitate paint curing.

I'm just glad you actually removed them instead of painting them while still on your $80k suv. Well done.

I think that the gloss will look significantly better.

It didn't come with it. I got the urban 110X. ordered it appearance package but the wheel arch and the classic flaps were not installed because the urban have the running board and flat wheel arch painted glossy as well.

Default Sneak peek! PITA for the install.

Use the template that came and create your own template for the lower holes(a must!).
