Heads up on the Heads Up Display
It appears the HUD has disappeared from all Defender builds? My salesman said he heard they dropped it from the Jaguar line to help the Range Rover line, but cannot find it.
The MY 23 110 X lists the 'heads up display' as standard item under Infotainment. See 2022 Land Rover Defender | Models | Land Rover USA
Wow, I just rebuilt and relooked at my previous build and the heads up display no longer appears as a standard item - and no decrease in price. What I referenced in my previous reply is a page on land rover usa whereby you choose 110 and select model X - it still shows heads up display as a standard feature under 'infotainment' (click here: 2022 Land Rover Defender | Models | Land Rover USA ). I will check with my salesman to see if my order (awaiting allocation) has changed. // MANTIS //
This is really f'd up the way LR is communicating these changes. I know availability of some items, and perhaps the components to produce some items is out of their control, but just having options appear and disappear is very unprofessional.
I think this has been the case for 2020, 2021, and 2022 builds as well. We got zero notice about changes to trims.
Owning another car with HUD, I don’t think it is much of a loss. I find them a distraction with no meaningful utility. When I ordered mine I deliberately didn’t select the model that included the HUD (and the sunroof, which is also a poor imitation of a convertible roof for me, having had both).
