Default Heated steering wheel

My heated steering wheel developed a hot spot at the 12 o'clock position today -- about 30 mins into a drive. (like very hot, too hot to touch which is unusual)

Forgot about it. and then on my next drive, noticed a weird feeling depression on back of the steering wheel right there -- seems the leather cover has melted.

Fun !

PS still love the car not complaining

You plan to take it to the dealer for resolution? Definitely let us know what happens.

I do find it a bit rudimentary that the heated wheel is either ON or OFF. I find the Defender wheel does get very toasty and usually end of turning it off after a few minutes. I much prefer a low, medium, and high setting on a heated wheel.
