Default Hello! Khaki Interior/Extended Leather Pack Questions

Hello! I’m new here and happy to become part of the Defender Community.

After spending months on standby, I finally placed my order in March for a 23 Defender 110. Checked in with the dealer every month or so only to be told in June that they actually never placed my order after taking my deposit months earlier.

After that and several other painstaking faults on the dealers side i canceled it and placed a new order a week ago with JLR Hunt Valley in Maryland and i had a great experience there.

i wanted to reach out as i ordered the khaki interior without the extended leather upgrade… wondering if anyone else here has khaki with or without extended leather and has an opinion or if anyone else would like to offer theirs as far as the extended Windsor leather pack goes.

To my knowledge, Windsor leather does not come in the khaki color and my dealer could not shed any light on this package. I quite like the robustec material so i left the Windsor leather option off for now.

Thanks in advance to everyone.

Cheers,
Mike

I have khaki and as far as I know do not have extended leather, although I don’t actually know what that means. I have a fairly high spec defender and chose the interior for its utility, as that was the type of truck I wanted to build. And khaki is a spectacularly great interior color, so even if I had wanted extended leather but had to choose between that and khaki, I would have gone with khaki. I can’t think of a Defender exterior color that wouldn’t look great with it, but I have Pangea green, which is exactly perfect.

I am pretty confident that khaki is not available for extended leather - Only Windsor leather options are (Black, brown, and oyster). If you car does not serve a utility/off-roading purpose then i would highly recommend the extended leather package. It definitely gives the interior a much more premium feel and covers the following in leather:

Edit: also covers the airbag portion of the steering wheel

So is your khaki interior the robustec neoprene type material in most places like the upper console rail?? I really like the look and feel of that material.

as weird as it sounds i think i would rather have the neoprene… if it is normal leather in all of those areas i would likely go for the extended leather pack.

LOVE the khaki. It’s just different i can’t wait! Tasman blue khaki with rough cut walnut for me. Definitely a different combo but i think it will be cool

Thats what i figured however the configure tool online lets me apply it (i don’t see any difference in the picture) and i believe my dealer said i could add it but they were not sure if there is Windsor leather in khaki.

i have some luxury cars with plush leather and although the Defender is quite an expensive vehicle I’m kind of digging the more rugged feel mixed with luxury.

I’m just wondering if all of those areas are covered with the standard khaki leather or if it’s the neoprene/robustec material without the extended leather pack

Thats what I have. I get compliments from everyone who has seen it. I posted this same pic in the thread on the vertical pleats which seem to have been deleted on the 23 110S models. so it goes.

I do have khaki in mine but not extended. If I had it to do over I'd go for the windsor option on full electric seats and add wood trim. If khaki is unavailable as windsor (that's a shame) I'd just go with the ebony then I suppose. A little extra in the way of luxury goes a long way in this vehicle, just my personal opinion.
