Not at all how I would spec one. 22"s make me want to cry a little.

Agree, I would have liked the 20 Inch but this is the config at the dealer.

That would be completely useless to me. Junk. Not to mention, laughably dumb looking. Very popular option that completely destroys the vehicle's capabilities.
Might as well buy a Toyota Sienna. More seating, storage with comparable, trail abilities.

Default Forgot the cold package

I would add the cold package I live in Florida, but I travel and it has come in handy more than a few times.

I was a bit apprehensive about the gloss black 22s on my 110. There is a lot of hate on here for them!

After a month (1000 miles) with plenty of farm tracks and muddy fields on standard road tyres, I love them. No issues whatsoever.

I'm not intending on doing any 'serious' off roading.

Horses for courses, YMMV. But i reckon your spec sounds awesome. You'll have a blast with it. Add the heated steering wheel if you haven't already!

Agree with the above, get 20" wheels, not 22". You will have far more tire options, less flat tires and less wheel damage. I would also skip:·

LRX95 - Emergency Pack $75 (Buy a first aid kit on Amazon)

· LRH99 - Handover Pack $28 (What is this?)

· DF301 - Premium Interior Protection and Storage Pack $700

· DF004 - Black Wheel Protection Pack $570 (Go with dark silver wheels instead)

· 087FB - Satin Protective Film $5,155 (Just get it ceramic coated for $1500 by a qualified detailer, not the guy who washes cars at the dealer)

· 082ZZ - Volume Build Phase (What is this?)

· 048BD - Illuminated Metal Treadplates with Brand-Name Script (Why?)

· 039IB - Head-up Display $1,000 (I find these annoying)

· 031SZ - 22" Style 5098, Gloss Black $2,200 (Get 20" instead)

· 028ME - 22" full size spare wheel $200 (See above)

· 025SH - Wi-Fi Enabled with Data Plan $360 (Just use your cell phone)

· 017HE - Premium Interior Upgrade Pack $1,400 (Seems pricy for something you barely notice)
Just my $.02

Defenders are somewhat finicky when it comes to recovery, and I’m not referring to just off-roading. I would suggest looking at the recovery hooks in the back (quite possibly standard on your model) and the front undershield (which should be an option). Both can be done after market, but at a cost.

I don't think you can remove emerg pack and handover, it's sort of automatic add-on.

I think you are right about the gratuitously overpriced emerg pack. Handover is their way of getting you to pay for a new keychain that the dealer would have thrown in earlier.

I walked away from a nicely specced and discounted xdynamic that had 22’s. I just kept envisioning a pot hole waiting to eat them. I found a near perfect unit with 20’s. Very happy with my choice.

I also would recommend getting a different color Windsor leather interior. All black gets boring real quick. I went with vitange tan and couldn’t be happier with it.
