Default High Speed Highway Rollover

This wasn't me and I'm not going to give details other than this was in Florida. Video quality is poor but it's pretty sobering nonetheless. Things happen very fast on the highway.

It rolled. A lot.

Driver and her husband walked away without a scratch.

Yeah, undertaking at 30mph faster than the flow of traffic will get you that. Defender driver asked for that.

Lol what? Guy was speeding but the other car clearly wasn't paying attention. 100% fault of other driver.

I'm just an arm-chair video watching quarterback, but I think they both had a part to play. The Defender was clearly passing EVERYONE on the right lane which is illegal in every state I know for a reason (I'm not saying it's right/wrong/yada yada). And the "attacking car" (can't tell what kind) was clearly in bonzai mode as they tried to make a late exit from three lanes away. They were cutting in front of the Commercial truck gingerly and then they attacked the exit. Not sure how anyone would write that one up. Neither party was innocent in the accident. Super glad they walked away from it. It looked horrendous. As an EMT of 30 years, that there is the miracle of modern engineering.

Lol, this driving/fault conversation is catching me off because that's just how everyone in Florida drives. I guess I'm numb to it.

I was just really happy to see what a nice job the Defender did in protecting the people. A little surprising how easily it lost control and flipped but they still walked away.

Looks like the Port Everglades expressway.

Defender is built like tank. Not a bad vehicle to have a rollover in.

I'm almost certain that it's I-4 in Orlando. I'm trying to leave out personal details. I only know of this person through someone else so trying to be respectful.

I lost count at about 20 flips. In theory it's just a quick series of really small collisions that released all that forward energy as it rolled. Airbags obviously went off and held them in place. Side curtains and some really well designed headrests probably saved their lives. Imagine how many times their heads would have hit the glass?

I think the day might have had a darker ending if it hit a concrete barrier or the edge of a guardrail like we have at a lot of exits. It's treacherous here at times.

Yes. Often the most spectacular crashes are the ones where the energy is dissipated over more time. Less G-forces.

No worries. I did't mean to pry.

You all can "That's how everyone drives in Florida" all you want. Dumbass was passing everyone at +30mph in the far right lane. He deserved what he got. The other idiot also contributed no doubt but they were like ships passing in the night. Two morons trying to occupy the same space at the same time.
