HOLD feature

@Kev M is correct. I think a better way might be to turn it off on the EPB. Just pull the brake release (not the hood release!) and you should be back in business. Link. Next time I'm in a tight situation, I may push brake w/ foot, pull out the EPB, let off brake to slowly advance, rub prayer beads to ensure I don't have to call insurance. Hopefully that routine will work.

I dealt with this for a while too.
I have the auto hold turned off. But I was pressing the brake too hard at a full stop and it was turning back on.
FWIW I believe you CAN shut it off manually using the parking brake release switch on the left side of the dash, left of the steering column even while your foot is still on the brake. I'm not sure if that only works when you have the auto hold setting turned off. But IF IT DOES work with the auto on that would be a solution to your problem @allegedly .
For me, I have now MOSTLY learned to press the brake a little more gently even at long stops. But it does occasionally turn back on for me (and when it does I usually use that switch to turn it back off).

Bro!
That works with auto brake hold either on or off. it pretty much solves my least favorite thing about this truck.
Now I can just leave it on and I can pull out of the garage without having to wait for this thing to boot up so I can get into the menu to release the hold.
Thank you!!!!!

I believe this may have already been stated, but if you press the brake lightly, the hold feature doesn't activate, if I press hard, it activates, at least on my 20.5 110 P400. I also find if I'm lite enough, the Ecostart doesn't activate.
I actually like the hold feature, when at drive-thru's or just at stop lights.
I try to not start the motor and release the hold in one motion, it seems to be a little thrusty starting and moving all at once. I've found that if I time things right, a lite touch on the accelerator pedal will start the engine, then when I'm ready to go a little hard push disengages the hold. Also, it seems the Ecostart is deactivated when the a/c is on.
