How long does a Defender sit after it is built to be put on a vessel?
Wallenius Wilhelmsen has the contract to ship all JLR vehicles. They have 2-3 ships come to Brunswick every week from Bremerhaven. All I can get is that my status is "Built" with an eta of at Dealer on 7/23

Lovely, I am actually surprised that the vessel actually does an around the world trip before hitting port here in AU. Going by the schedules and to what @RobM said about WW shipping all of JLR cards, it looks like it's the same vessel that goes to Baltimore, I clicked on a few schedules from Bremerhaven to Kembla (my port here in Australia) few of them did so.
Now my delivery date is 07/23, so going by what dealer said about he could not see ship details but only in-transit in vista, I can sort of speculate which vessel my car would be on, if they aren't either of those, I'd miss the delivery date by a fair margin. I guess for now I will just track all of em till I get a name
Thanks legends ! @Mechano2020 kudos to you mate ! That really is some work you put on there.
Note for whomever wants to do a decent and affordable ship tracking: the app is called SHIP INFO and is built by Galasoft AK. It is the only one I have found to have live satellite tracking, and it is free ( adds - true, but decent ). Other apps will charge you for satellite tracking. Quite a bit. No, I have no sponsorship from this app and or free or paid benefits. It is just a good app in my opinion. Good luck to y'all.
Here's my info...it's been at the port since 14 May:
Last Amendment Possible: 4/14/21
Build Date: 5/14/21
Delivery Date: 7/9/21
Accepted Delivery: 7/9/21

wow...your vehicle got to the port of exit the same day it was built? Is that right? Took them 3 weeks to get mine to the port.
So was your three week eta delay due to getting your defender from the factory to the UK port?
You got the smaller screen right?
My theory (FWIW)... In the narrow window between the easing of covid and prior to the recent "chip shortage" shutdown, I think there were a few really productive weeks of manufacturing in April and the first half of May. And I bet that this increased number of Defenders has clogged the shipping/distribution infrastructure. It would be interesting to see how many Defenders are sitting in European ports (I can't figure out if North American bound Defenders go to Bremerhaven, Zeebrugge, Southampton or somewhere else to await a ship).
