@Greghar - Can you describe that more? Tire studs that flung from other cars into your window, kicked up from the road, or was the Monster Truck in town driving over your Defender? I'm hoping the later (send pics!), but trying to understand the tire studs leaving marks on your windshield. Thanks for the insight.

Tire stud flew from the car in front of me. Sadly i do not have pictures of the marks as they were filled afterwards. But on a weak window you could imagine them cracking it quite easily.

Yesterday I wrote essentially the exact sentence, then thought, "That's so immature" and didn't post it.

I am frequently the "least common denominator" as I was once called....

I see this exact moan in the Jeep Wrangler forums regularly, but we just keep chugging along because we love the extraordinary capability of the machine. My Defender is still just a twinkle in my and my dealer's eye, but it's going in my garage for the same reason. Extraordinary capability.

Just had my second windshield chip today. 11k miles and 9 months or so.

Not surprised.

Thankfully this one is small. less than an inch and doesn't involve the edge of the glass.

It's been a little humid here this past day or two. With the warmer weather and increase in faunal activity I suspect my other half hit a road-mosquito. Hopefully the chip doesn't spread between now and tomorrow's repair.
