PS to cycle the power on the compressor, I didn't turn on and off the truck. I just held in the main compressor button for a few seconds. Turns off. Then pressed it quickly again to turn it on.
I had this issue. I made an appointment with my local dealer. During their initial inspection, they decided they would need to replace the compressor…I showed them the bulletin and app which I had downloaded. They went back, requested the login information, it took about 2 hrs for them to receive the credentials. Update took only a few minutes and now my compressor works great. Used to blow fuse within 30 seconds. I was able to update 4 tires on three cars all on the same session. Push your dealer to do the work, share the bulletin it works.
Update: Software update on the IAC completed Feb 7 at dealer. My experience:
-- Was charged an hour's labor for this software update so expect that charge if you, like me, added the IAC as an accessory post delivery and you've had it for over a year.
-- Still get the E4 error code when I'm airing back up after a trail run. Usually on the 3rd or 4th tire. Power cycled the IAC 1 time, worked again, and got the job done. It's rather annoying, the whole point is to go have a coffee or tea and chat with the group. Not stand there and watch the compressor inflate. I feel like I have to stand there as when I walk back, there's usually an E4 error and it's stopped
-- My pressures are the same accuracy, so that's good. About 2-3 psi off from what it says on TPMS display. No change post update.
I'll report this back to the LR dealer when I return to have my list of backordered trim parts installed under warranty. I am not expecting a ground swell of action to fix it. Ho hum disappointing.
Following up on this... has anyone else updated their Integrated Air Compressor? My dealer didn't offer any help when asked if they could do this. Here's the app that goes on my phone, and the start-up screen asking for log-in credentials from an authorized Land Rover installer. Would any amazing forum members have access credentials that they could temporarily lend to allow me to do this bluetooth update? I could pay you for this log-in...
I just answered on the other thread, but they updated mine *again* after I posted up above. And has been working great / fine since. I use it 1-2 times a month and no more E4 code.
So I made an appointment for this morning, a Saturday morning and took it in. I brought with me a print out of the TSB bulletin for the integrated air compressor software update. I even forwarded the app from my phone to the service advisor. Unfortunately, they have to open a “TS“ case with landrover in order to get the credentials to log into the app and That can’t be done on a Saturday as the software engineers with landrover apparently aren’t available. So I have rescheduled for a weekday to try to have this done. Ugh…
So if anyone is still following this tired topic, I’ve got my final report. Went in today for a previously scheduled “weekday“ appointment, which is when the software engineers at LanRover apparently are working. The dealership had to put in a software update request into land rover’s system and about 2 1/2 hours later they got the sign in credentials needed to be used in the iPhone, integrated software App . The update itself took about five minutes and worked flawlessly. The service manager felt bad about the long wait so didn’t charge me anything and the air compressor is working perfectly. Will give further follow up as I continue to use it.
my advice is to print out the TSB from above and take it with you and be willing to give up the better part of a day to let them wait on the reply. And definitely do it on a weekday.
