Default Air Compressor Dryer Desiccant

I'm going to do some basic service on my air suspension system including new seals on valve blocks and replace desiccant in compressor drier. Any recommendations on what type of desiccant to use?

Ditto on Amazon. This is what I bought, but there are lots of options. I will be chaining mine soon, try to do it every year just to be super active and its so easy/cheap to do.

Thanks for the recommendations, wasn’t sure if there was a specific type of desiccant required by LR

They probably have something and desiccants can vary... but any basic one will work just fine. The key is changing it regularly.

Just changed my desiccant. I’ve attached the photos of the old (beige) and new (blue). As you can tell they are quite different. I did a little research and the original desiccant appears to be molecular seive desiccant. The new is silica gel desiccant. the basic difference is the molecular seive is much more absorbent. I suspect the silica gel will require

Molecular seive desiccant

Silica gel desiccant

more frequent changes.

fyi my compressor and drier are of the AMK variety. Original to the 2008 vehicle as far as I can tell.

Did anyone change the original o-rings as well as the little white filters?

if so, what size are the O-rings?

Thank you!
