What a let down. I thought they'd make it more aggressive, instead they tried the clean/slimmed down look of the RRS SV. Here it just doesn't work and looks unfinished.

I do like the more utilitarian 20" wheels, though. The 22" are hideous.

I went to the Los Angeles preview of the OCTA, those intakes are an additional $5,000 even on the top spec Edition One.

$169k. Not accounting for extra customization or dealer markup.

But Jim is right, much like the Raptors and GWagons these contend with on paper, they won't see anything resembling a trail until depreciation has had its way with them 8 years from now.

You're joking, right? This thing is not streamlined. It's still a brick and now it has wide brick fenders on it and big wheels. And the first official V8 Defender with roof rails.

Well they didn't change the body, I'm talking about the finishing. They streamlined the surfaces. For example, the dimples/holes in the front valence, diamond plate on the hood.

Definitely going to grab a set of those wheels though.

Agree

I like the new 20's and the new green color. I would like to see more photos of the green in different lighting.

Overall it looks much better than I expected. The Bronco rapter sidewalls look terrible and out of proportion. This looks much more integrated and aggressive.

Received my OCTA configuration today via email from LR as advised during the Element event. Prices included but it only reflects what we picked at the event, not all options available (I think). Dealer is also in loop. Good work LR, I must say I had some doubts about the marketing of this.

Agreed, got my configuration by email yesterday as well. I included the roof rack and ladder at the event but those items were not on the confirmation, no big deal as dealer installed anyway. Now just a waiting game to see how many my dealer is actually getting and how they are going to handle who gets what. I'm a little concerned as they are not saying what position each person is in for a vehicle nor have they said if there will be any mark up.
