Default Just got my Defender long time Range Rover owner

I absolutely love our new Defender. P400 HSE full Explorer pack, roof rack, step rails, tire cover, winch bumper tow hooks, plus lots of stickers! We bought it 10 days ago.

the winch bumper took some minor modifications to fit my older Warn 9.5 TI thermometric winch. Taking it off roading next weekend.

we’ve had 6 previous Range Rovers including 2 Full Size L405s now as daily drivers. Plus a Mopar!

we had a 2005nissan Xterra off road that we off Roaded for 15 years, including going to Moab twice, and tons of exploration in Southern California.

That chromaflair is outrageously awesome. The green on the Viper is excellent as well. With the other winch what were the fitment issues that you corrected?.. I'm about to reuse my old warn on our disco5 hidden mount.

The tray cradle holding the winch needed a little angle grinder to make it fit. You can see it in the pics.

Looks awesome! Don't have my new defender yet but test drove them yesterday, Impressed! I'm debating about using an older winch, buying my own or buying through the dealer. They have a hefty markup on the Warn Zeon, but I could roll it into the purchase price. They want $1680 for the labor, but I would do it myself. The package from the dealer is $4747 and they are on back-order. Winch itself is $3020 and retails for the Warn Zeon 10 S is less than $1500 so I'm trying to figure out how it is different. The rover one is remote but that upgrade is only another $150. Warn Zeon Platinum is around $2k which is probably the winch they use.

Nice being tucked away, but the ARB bumper on my LR3 with the winch saved me in an accident when someone backed into me. $4k damage to their Volvo, I just got a scratch on the bumper!

Almost any winch will fit with an angle grinder and not compromise structural integrity. Save your money, skip the dealer markup. I’m going to do the install myself in the next few days.

!
I'd skip the wireless remote... the delay drives me insane... and isn't a good thing at all in precision or intense recoveries. Dash mount hard wired switches and direct connected hand remote are the only way for me...
