Just Ordered a '22 90 X
We've been a JLR family for years now with our current F-Type and F-Pace, so we're not entirely new, but this will be our first LR and we're very, very excited.
90 X in Carpathian Gray (to match my F-Type) with all the bells and whistles. Should do well to replace our F-Pace and the longtravel Nissan Xterra overlanding rig we've had for the better part of the last decade. Or at least that's the idea!
Was a hard choice between the 90 and the 110 but ultimately I think we made the right decision. Seems like aftermarket support is centered around the 110, but maybe that just means I need to be a catalyst on that front to help get that ball rolling. None of my vehicles ever stay stock for very long lol.
Anyway, I suspect I'll be here reading and asking some questions as we get closer to delivery, for now I'm just excited about the order so I figured I'd sign up here and say hello 👋

Love my 2022 90 X, I've never seen another one on the road. After taking delivery couple of weeks ago I installed gloss black painted wheel arch extensions and rear checkering, Johnson Rods, Mickey Thompson LT275/60R20 tires and this past weekend installed a Warn winch kit from Lucky8 Offroad.

The Mickey Thompson tires are awesome and quieter on the road than BFG K02's. They weigh a lot more than the stock Wranglers did which has not helped fuel economy. The side walls are really tough which adds to the weight.
I painted the wheel arch supports and checkering using the products in this photo. The flat black didn't match the gloss on my Defender X. The Bulldog allows the paint to adhere to the plastic. The key is the clear coat, this stuff is $35 a can and well worth it. The result is an extremely hard, durable finish.

Nice to know there's winch options outside of the OEM offering, as that one seems a bit expensive for what it is, to my eye. Does yours have the OEM front undershield? My initial thought was to forgo it in the build assuming there would be aftermarket offerings available, but I'm getting the idea that it's a bit too soon to depend on that. Similarly, I'll want to put some sliders on it as well, but it seems the only ones out there so far are for the 110. Winch would be nice, but there's a decent sized list of things I'll want to do before that.

Thankfully Lucky8 gives a great option outside of JLR for a winch mount. I look forward to their bullbars coming out as well. However, there is only one option other than the OEM undershield protection and it's from Matzler in Germany. The price is crazy higher, though. I wouldn't sweat the undershield. You can have it fitted when you do the winch - either yourself (cheaper) or whoever does the work.
