Default Land Rover USA

As most of you know, we have had several issues with our 1st Edition since we took delivery in August 2020. All of them but one has been worked out, but the one has been a huge pain. Well, I have figured it out and made it aware to our service dept, General Mgr. of the store and our sales lady. I was told even if I have figured it out that they will not fix/ replace it with a new one because it is the roof rack and that is a LR Accessory. They told me that LR wouldn't let them replace it because it would be a waste of time and money. I called BS on that, and actually called LR USA and opened a case. I don't know what will be the outcome, we will see. But, I can tell you that even if LR reads the forums and sees people having issues, no matter what they are, they won't simply fix them or try to come up with a solution. You HAVE to call LR and open a case. My case manager was super helpful and very understanding. Of course ultimately it is up to LR to make their customer's happy. But I am at least happy we now have an open case and made LR USA aware of the issue.

For anyone else wanting to contact LR USA, their number is 1-800-346-3493. So if your dealer has been less than cooperative, give them call. I would say almost all of us could open a case on the A Pillar flapping alone.

Do you want to tell us what the problem with the roof rack was / is and what you've figured out? I'm afraid I am not up to speed on your original issue with it.

Yup, that's the thread. I was so frustrated. Glad to say after some time with the car and traveling in it quite a bit, I have come around.

Another poster linked the thread, but long story short the rack was making a horrible noise. Not just your typical wind noise, even though it did make wind noise, but that wasn't annoying to me.

I've never had a quiet ride with the sunroof open unless I'm driving 20 mph.

Sunroof noise was only a small part of it.
