Default Loss of front audio ( high/mid) w update?

Noticed this am that something didn’t quite sound right and when moved the fader to front, only had audio from the subs. Same results w both Meridian or Stereo selected.
Rear speakers working as they should.
reset the Pivi and no change.
anyone else have this issue?

If you ever call an IT HelpDesk, the first thing they will ask you to do is Reboot...

Same here.. Problem happens very often. Reboot doesn't change anything. I need to wait until the car is completely off (+15 minutes) before things get back to normal. But then it happens again after a few days. Don't know what to do...

It's a reasonably common issue.

There's another 2 or 3 threads on this.

From my research, I believe it's linked to plugging in the USB-c whilst also connecting wirelessly. Try to note whether you plugged your phone in quickly, and before the stereo warmed up or not.

I've found that if I get in and start the car, only then connect the USB-c, I don't get the issue.

My phone connects automatically via bluetooth everytime I start my car (not through Apple CarPlay). I guess I will have to turn off the bluetooth on my iPhone before I get into my car and see. Not very convienient though.

Weird that JLR didn't do anything to fix this problem...

In IT, can confirm this approach has kept me employed for nearly a decade.

I had that problem with my P300 Defender 110S right away, but it has settled down as of the last update. I have iPhone 12, use Carplay, and I am not plugged into the USB-c outlet (the 12 uses the old connection.). It took me a while to do the PIVI reset correctly: have to be parked and press the volume on-off button for what will seem like for er until the screen goes black. Everytime this worked to fix it for me, but like I said since the most recent software update the problem - knock on fake wood - has not reappeared.
