Default LR Symbology

Well, I've looked all through my owner's manual and I'm stumped on what the symbol circled in red below means. It is shown when I first start the car and reverts back to the temperature gauge after 30 seconds or so. Any guesses? It just looks like 3 seats to me. Doesn't matter if the vehicle has passengers or not.

Rear seats occupied/unoccupied. Helps remind you not to leave the baby.

Sorry, I was too distracted by your poverty spec gauges.

Thanks! Glad it's telling me to check 12 hours after I last drove it.

What do you want for a $59K build?

I think that is the "empty seat" icon. I'm too fugin lazy to go look but they change when someone sits back there.

It comes on every time you start the car. It reappears if there is a change in the seatbelt status of any occupied rear seat.

Green seats are occupied and buckled. Red tells you someone has unbuckled.

Mine is the 7 seater so have icons for second and third rows.

2 passengers in second row.

one passenger unbuckled

MUCH better than I first thought. Thanks for posting them with/without seatbelts. Now I get it and agree it's effective. At first I thought "wtf use is that". I always saw the white seats. Now seeing them actually light up is much different. I really think that is great design, imho.

Appreciate the photos!

WTF parents need lights in the dash to tell them not to forget their kids in the car. Notice there is no warning icon to tell you you might've forgotten a paired phone? Why do you think that might be?
