Default LR telling me that I can't downsize to 20's?

ok, so this is odd. and i feel bad for posting this again as i know it's been covered. but i have a 2022 x dynamic HSE 110 p400 coming in shortly. i am getting someone else's cancelled order. it has everything i want except it is coming in with 22" rims - specifically, style 5098 gloss black. i was planning on switching out the 22's to 20's and have been told by many (including folks here, aftermarket wheel shop, and one other LR dealer) that this is no problem to do. but the dealer i am buying the car from had their parts department check with LR NA and they told him that the calipers and the rotors are different sizes and different part numbers on the versions that come with 22's? this is counter to everything i've heard. he did say, when it comes in he'd be happy to find a set of 20's on the lot and "try it out" just to confirm. anyway, am i missing something? should i stress about this, cause i don't think i'm going to want to keep the 22's? anyway, appreciate anyone chiming in with any info here. thanks!

I have put 20" Rotoform Wheels on both of my Defenders that came 22" wheels with no problems.

This does not make much sense unless there has been a recent design change. I would ask for clarification on what has changed in this model since 2021.

This is impossible. V8s come with 20s and 22s and have the largest brake and rotor combo available.

There may be some running update on a brake caliper part number but I assure you that it is not going to effect fitment.

you can run 19s on the p400. It’s only the 18s that don’t fit.

I work for JLR and can confirm that for standard calipers a 20" wheel works just fine. The caliper specified is the same for 20" and 22" wheels.

Tell them to simply pull up calipers #LR102243 and #LR102246 in their parts system and it should show that a 20" or 22" wheel is acceptable.

Might be they're not interested in the hassle of a wheel swap.
