Exactly. I loved the Evoque. The ideal 2016, not the new one. But, two vehicles was the limit, I was told. So it goes.....

Lol, I love how nobody even mentions the new Discovery as an alternative, it's as if it doesn't even exist. I'm fairness to LR, they improved it quite a bit for 2021 (better tech, more comfortable seating), and when you compare its features to a Defender it looks like a bargain... I guess that big fat *** with offset license plate is still too much of a turnoff for most. They should have redesigned it. Too bad.

They did make so many improvements to the Discovery. New engines, rear passengers and dog get more AC vents, better seats as you noted and redesigned front looks so much better. I agree, too bad they couldn't just center the rear license plate holder.

Because it will look like a minivan, not that it doesn't currently.

I am great with the offset license plate -- just wish they would have kept the LR4 rear hatch design.

And yes, I think they could have made a better go of it with a different rear end ... a turn --off for many (me included). That back end design was approved on an off day, I figure.

On the upside, now that the Defender exists to carry the off-road load of the Discovery (LR4) line, they can do what is necessary to win over completely the couple with kids making the soccer, school and mall runs with kids segment. Will be tough competition ...
