Makes sense to me! I also was inspired by your earlier thread to cut that aero material to close up the gaps left. One question, what did you torque the bolts holding the sliders on to? I was going to default to the same torque LR recommends for similar bolts holding on the aluminum under shield (60 NM)

 

I made sure to remove them with a torque wrench, walking my way up to the break loose torque; then I reinstalled them to the same amount.

It has been a while since I installed the sliders, but I do recall identifying that the bolts removed were high strength steel and that I also measured the size and looked up the recommended torque on the internet. I don't remember the number. I wanted to understand if the bolts and its receiving nuts were aluminum and learned they were not.

It's also possible the torque was noted in the Lucky8 instructions?

No biggy, from a quick google ~60NM/45 ft/lb seems reasonable enough. I was too eager to be methodical tearing the underbody off to measure

 

I'm a little puzzled by the door sill. The instructions say that the front is the side with the hole 8" back, but when lined up the holes in the new sill don't match up with hardly any of the holes in my truck. A small difference between 2022 and the 2020 they developed this with?

EDIT: yep I flipped it around with the 8" distance between sill end and first hole at the rear of the car, and the holes line up perfectly. Of course i scratched the paint underneath due to taking the wrong side on and off, but oh well, that's show business.

Anyways, the instructions appear to be wrong, at least for my truck. I'm definitely going to double check that both sides work backwards because something seems janky here

 

Yes, the instructions are incorrect. We found the same problem and discovered the solution in the same manner.
