Default Man vs. Peddle Commander for D90

I didn't really get beyond starting, because when I looked "up in there" it appears that the linkage is pretty damn tight.

Has anyone got a solution? I guess you could pop whatever that is right above it out?

The flat / i4 actually needs it, maybe only getting going uphill. It both lags and seems to wait for turbo spoolup. I am a spirited driver, just sold my BMW in December.

I am exceedingly happy with my truck, except for this one aspect.

We'll, the stereo could be better, but between a set of 6 Focal speakers and three pounds of sound deadening in the doors, etc. Got that covered.

I think the i4 has plenty of power for me...once I get rolling. I absolutely agree, starting from a dead stop is annoying. Tons of lag. But once it gets going I don't seem to notice it much.

I haven’t checked this, but wonder if the transmission is starting in 2nd or something when left in auto.
maybe try manual and make you start out in 1st?

I know some of these vehicles don’t actually start out in 1st to actually save fuel and I thin the 8 speed has so many ratios it might be doing that. Again, I haven’t checked it myself, just wondering.

I think this I4 has lots of torque down low, maybe not v8 low but I thought I saw a curve graph somewhere and the peak torque is like 1800.

Pedal commander isn't going to change turbo lag if that's the cause of the delay. PC is just shortening the time between physically pressing the pedal and what the ECU map reads. It's a little bit placebo and a little bit functional mapping trickery.
If you bought a P300 to do spirited driving you may be chasing the wrong thing. Instead of adding all of these makeup accessories, bump up to the P400 or the V8.

Well, the i6 pulls almost the same except for the higher end and lower end grunt. No towing, no serious offroad, but capable.

It's not going to offset the turbo lag, but even a placebo effect tends to work.
