MHEV DCDC Internal Failure Bulletin
Not surprised they issued a recall. Hopefully they'll get them sorted in a timely manner. 170k vehicles is a lot for a relatively small company like JLR.
That is a lot of vehicles to cover for sure. I am glad they are doing this recall which has been long overdue. LR was probably advised by their legal dept. to do so in order to minimize the lawsuits and avoid potential future ones.

Companies do shady things when it comes to recalls. They will "roll" their recalls out in order to avoid the obvious hit to the bottom line. Toyota is currently doing this with their new 3.5L TT engine recalls.
As the data rolls in on the subsequent model years, and the data says "we need to expand the recall" - they'll do that.
I'm not saying that this is what the case is here, but it wouldn't surprise me to see it updated later. Given the part number updates on the converter over the years - they may have figured out the problem a while ago but there's no way to verify until people start getting their recalls performed and then go look at the part number on the converter they get.
I put my VIN into the JLR website and the NHTSA and got nothing... maybe it's too new? I have a 2022 P400 so I SHOULD be included.
Yep you will have to remove the 3rd row and lower side pieces (cargo tie down piece). The vertical side panel shouldn't have to be removed.
