Mirror Dip on Reverse
Our 2020 110 S owner’s manual indicates that there is a function setting to dip the side view mirrors when the truck is in reverse. When we go to the infotainment, we are missing that setting option.
Any have any idea about this? The manual doesn’t indicate this setting is an option.
Cheers.

Settings (the gear icon on the lower corner of the touchscreen) > All > Vehicle > Convenience > Mirrors. That's where the setting to turn on/off dipped mirrors on reverse is on my HSE, anyway.
It appears the Defender needs to be fitted with memory seats for mirror dip feature enablement. Frustrating.
Makes sense technically - attach it to people's memory settings, I guess. Though it also seems like a forced/poorly thought out link. Generally it's fine as there are plenty of cameras to also show the same info, but, still...
An older post, I know, but I just bought a 2025 Defender 90 S, and it came with semi-manual seats with no memory option. I've dug all through the Settings menus and can't find the mirror dip toggle. My 110 S has memory seats and the dippable mirrors, which I love.
Would anyone happen to know if the mirror dip feature can be added through some activation process?
Thanks,
Myron

It's been a year since I started driving it, still can't get used to it - and forcing myself to rely more on mirrors than on the camera lately.
I wonder if the proximity warning can be switched from sensing "intent" to actual proximity - but knowing a bit about how those systems work, doubt that it is possible.
My previous car had this mirror dip only on the passenger side mirror which was useful when I was parallel parking. I actually don't like how the Defender dips BOTH mirrors as I have yet to find a need for it to happen on the driver's side. If anything, I've found it more dangerous as I often find myself having to wait for the mirror to go back into standard position before safely being able to merge onto the road.
