Mirror mounts turning purple
This is weird.
Noticed in the sun (which hasn't been out very much here in the rainy PNW) yesterday -- that the drivers side mirror mounting, which is gloss black plastic, looks purple in the sun. The mirror's gloss black, the a-pilar is gloss black, the window surrounds... gloss black.. but this one piece where the mirror mounts into the door, sort of a triangle shaped piece, is purplish in color. Only on the drivers side.

@nashvegas - I recognize that you likely have some sort of color degredation (or your eyes aren't used to the bright sun hues!), but I have to say - my X-Dynamic HSE has about three shades of black on it. Most of those aren't intentional between the painted bits and the plastic bits. I think JLR didn't take a lot of trouble (in fact it's likely impossible) to match them all. Consider the purple another hue on the rainbow of blacks on that thing!

Mirrors definitely turning more purple. The outer rim/surround on top and the little triangle piece on door. It's not the light, it's not my camera, it's not a buildup of carwash soap as someone's service advisor on the Discovery5 forum seems to think.
To be fair it does look like an expensive purple.. but it's a bit ridiculous looking too:
Pardon the dirty truck.

I have noticed this on my 21. Only on the driver's side mirror, which gets the most sun. I try to park facing the other way now so at least they can fade evenly until I get around to another trip to the dealership (unsure if they would cover a repair/replacement or not, curious for anyone else's experience here).
