Default Mismatched rear taillight trim

I just had a taillight recall on my defender X. After 3 months of driving noticed a mismatched color trim. Is this normal?Mismatched rear taillight trim-photo398.jpg

Maybe its just me, but it looks like everything is normal? I can't see anything that is obviously out of place.

Can´t see what's wrong either?
Looks like you're missing the tow loop surrounds though....

The X doesn't come with the black trim around the tow hooks.

Oh, you meant the tucked in trim between rear bumper and the vertical tail light assembly on passenger side. I was looking at your tail light itself.
It should't be normal even on X trim. If you bought it from LR Dealer, ask what they can do. If not, I think it's time to add backup lights as OEM colored trim will be pretty expensive.

yes. I thought it was changed when they did the recall. But after looking at the original pictures when I got delivery from the dealer back in 2020, it is the same mismatched color. weird.

Yeah, you're right. JLR should take care of that for you, because that's obviously a manufacturing defect. I've never seen anything like that before. Luckily it isn't that noticeable, but still, that should be fixed on JLR's dime, whether you're still under warranty or not.

Glad to hear you have a picture proof. Then they will not have any issue replacing it.

At the very least I'd make them replace both with black if they cannot ensure they're color matched left and right.
