That’s cool. BTW, I swears hour rack looks lower than mine. Can you tell me how high the mounting posts for the rack stick up above the roof rails? Mine look taller than yours. Also still waiting on the full fairing to quiet this thing down. Quite the racket at 75mph. Love the rack and look, but I’ve got to get rid of that noise or it’s getting taken off.

 

Mounting is standard from Voyager Racks, 2 inch mounting point that uses factory rail Torx 25 bolts.

 

So you measured the mountings posts and they are two inches high themselves; or two inches above the top of the roof rails? Here’s how mine look. They seem taller than yours.

 

Looks like you have a taller mounting point.

 

Voyager says they only make one size mounting posts, so must be optical illusion or yours was an early prototype. I see yours is grey and they are all black now. BTW I got the full fairing noe and it is significantly quieter than with just the middle piece.

 

I've seen other pictures that make them look shorter as well, the one I just mounted on my defender an hour ago are the black "taller" ones. The other pictures i've seen of shorter ones were not black and more of a gray/silver. My rack that came in a few weeks ago only has the fairing in the middle. I'm going to ask for the full fairing.
