Default Mudflaps or splash guards ?

I want to put something on the bottom of new my 90 to protect the black paint.
I do plan to get it covered in a PPF material as well.

I would like to get some owners opinions and experiences with any of these difference styles.
I really have no plans for any serious off roading, nothing really beyond the occasional dirt road or gravel road.
We do get some snow and ice here in the winters, but not going to be doing an extreme rock crawling or sand dune jumping, nothing like that for my Defender.
I have ATVs and UTVs for all that more extreme sort of offroad fun. LOL

There are so many choices out there for these Defenders.

I am leaning towards these.

I sort of like how the gloss black would blend in with the gloss black on the Defenders rocker panels.
Also no drilling into the outside of the fenders. I thought that was a plus as well.

Land Rover has something that looks similar.
Just they cost more and are not gloss black.
As with many different products like this, I know a lot of it is made in China, just seems with LR there is a lot of stuff that looks identical to the same items I can buy from LR for 3 or 4 times the price.
I am somewhat curious if these items are in fact the exact same items or if they are inferior copies in some way.

Then there are these larger mud flap style. I am not sure I like the looks of these. I am also concerned about drilling holes in the side of the fenders to mount them.

I personally like the shorter ones on Defenders as they look more integrated than the longer ones. It is just personal preference and you can not go wrong with either choices.

I have the classic mudflaps and absolutely love the way they look. Classic mudflaps were a must for me.

I have the classics as well. My thought is that the more urban themed the Defender is, then the short flaps are the way to go. But I prefer the classics when the theme is more offroad looking.
The classics are a nod to the Heritage style Defenders

Well, i see what your saying. That makes sense.

I am changing the wheels and tires out for a more offroad look and hopefully a smoother ride etc. etc. etc.
I order some 20x9 +30 Octa rims this week and planning on running a 275/55R20 Falken AT4W AT style tire as well.
The wheels were shipping today.

I do like the look of the full mud flaps on the longer 110 and 130s, I am just a bit concerned how those will look on my shorter 90, I am not wanting it to look any shorter or stubbier than it already looks.

I did shorter genuine LR mudflaps and PPF'd all of the gloss black trim along the bottom of the car.

Are your OCTA wheels two tone or is that just the light reflection in the picture?

They are two tone.

Here they are on a 2dr Defender in a video with different lighting.

I have some of the shorter style mud flaps on my 110. I love the way they look, I hardly notice them. They keep the sides of the vehicle much cleaner. Heads up, I tried some cheap knockoffs from Amazon and they did not even fit the lines of the vehicle at all, they had some weird right angles. I ended up getting some from New Defender Parts (still not OEM) and they worked great.

I have seen a couple instances where the larger mud flaps got torn off the vehicle when off roading or backing up to a large curb.
