Default Mute button pauses the program - Disable this

Does anyone know how to change the mute function so that when it is activated it does NOT automatically pause the program being listened to? I hit "mute" on commercials and when I unmute I am right back where I was when I pressed mute in the first place. This is a change - automatically installed - that I don't want. Thanks.

I've noticed that on mine before, and hated it for the same reason.

I’ve noticed this too. I set the diamond button as mute for short press and pause on long press. It seems to pause in both cases when listening to Sirius.

Grrrr. A long time ago I was discussing "User Experience Design" with one of the smartest people I had met in the field. I told her that I would never do something some way and she responded "Well, you need to remember that you don't represent everybody". I've often recalled that. The problem is when the PiviPro designers think that their interpretation of the user experience is based on their preference. I can see someone with my face deciding that EVERYONE should pause their streams when the Mute is hit because that's what "I" prefer/desire/think people want to do like me. That's why there are often so many design fails with JLR functional flows. It REALLY isn't a lot of work to allow the users another option and to make the choice. Especially if it's something that most people in a usability study would say is the abnormal approach. It shows both the "I" view in design choices and the lack of usability studies.

Wow, now I frighten the crap out of myself how much I recall from conversations longer than last week! It was perhaps a decade ago.
