Default My tire upgrade (pics)

Hey everyone! I have been on here seeing a lot of new tire set ups on everyone’s vehicles so I just wanted to share my current tire upgrade. I purchased the 275/45/22 Cooper Discoverer AT3 4S. This tire is a huge upgrade from the original Continentals that came with the Defender. Great traction with dry and wet conditions as well as the recent snow that we have been getting here in western PA.

Enjoy!

Looks great. How's road noise at highway speeds?

So after doing my research. I ended up picking these because of the great reviews on road noise. Even at 70-80mph it’s very quiet for how aggressive the tread pattern looks. They have a 65k mile warranty but only time will tell on how the noise will sound after some miles on them.

That's awesome to hear. I've been eyeing these for a while.. and I've narrowed it down to two tires: Cooper Discoverer AT3 4S and Continental TerrainContact AT. It seems the Coopers are slightly better offroad, while the Continentals are slightly better onroad.

Joining the Cooper AT3 club. Great tires! Surprisingly I had some rubbing issues in the front, but it was caused by the inner lip of the classic mudflaps. Super easy fix, just trimmed that inner piece by about 5mm and no rubbing.

Have any of you tried the Yokohama Geolander A/T G015?

I just ordered them for a set of Urban Automotive 22” wheels I purchased. I want a tire that is going to perform well mostly on the highway but still have the ability to go off road. I also want a tire with a nice looking tread pattern.

Was also considering the Nitto Ridge Grappler and the Nitto Terra Grappler but I felt the Ridge Grappler looks too aggressive. I don’t see many people with the Terra Grappler but it looks similar to the Geolander A/T.

I have not tried those but did see good reviews on them. There are so many out there anymore but I am very curious to hear your feedback once they come in. Also, nice move on the Urban wheels. I am looking for that lightbar but its out of stock everywhere!!

could tell what is wrong with OEM Continental?

I changed the tyres to a winter set just after silvery of my V8 and did not have time to test them. But I've never heard anything bad about Continental tires
