Stunning, really wonderful fit and finish! Curious, with the load space protector on the subs as in the picture, how does it work? Assuming there is a built in gap - can you put luggage and "stuff" on the subs in the back and still work or does it rattle?
there is a cover which has ventilated grills and then the oem rubber map sits on top.
basically oem trunk functions. i am pretty sure there will be some rattling with a trunk full but i have a separate bass gain and basically can turn up or turn off the subs.
during the initial design consultation maintaining oem functionality was key.
i was hesitant on mounting the mid ranges in the A pillars. lost the oem looks but the location was far superior in sound quality.
the factory mid range location fires into your knee and dash. worst location for sound quality. i could of fit the morel midrange in the factory location with some heavy cutting but it most likely would of still sounded subpar
i went almost all out on the build. Could of spent a little more on higher end amps and subs but i had already exceeded my budget. for many this way overboard but i love my defender and figure i would be keeping it longer
Pretty happy with the end result

Wow that looks absolutely epic, congrats! It must sound amazing. Do you mind sharing the "budget" for this? If not, all good. These guys are about a 30 min drive for me and have been thinking about a sound upgrade.
I'll join the crowd, but late: Wow!! Well done. That's an awesome level of workmanship. Now, I'll take my tone deaf self and leave the thread....(I'm now starting to get depressed!)
