Hey @Royalist where did you purchase your MY23.5 Defender? I'm based in Columbus, but waiting on my MY23.5 110X from Akron.
Hey what’s up dude, I purchased my ‘22 90 S from Land Rover Buffalo in NY last year but sold it this year.
After the whole protected zone diabolical, I decided to order my ‘23.5MY 130 SE from Land Rover Akron on July 1st, still in the holding pool waiting for an allocation (rumored to come Sept 11th-12th) but first in line and only 2 others who have deposits on 130’s at Akron but no one put orders through, they’re waiting for the allocation themselves.
The 2 LR dealers in Columbus, the 1 in Dayton, 1 in Cincinnati, and others near me on the PA border won’t sell new to me.
Land Rover Westside in Cleveland is a joke overall, and while Land Rover Solon is right next to me and serviced my old 90, they wouldn’t budge on a deposit, plus it takes forever for them to come and talk to me while I’m there.
LR Akron is good, and working with Emily who is super nice and she’s the ordering guru and Liaison for the rep and Justin who is my sales guy.

Fingers crossed my incoming September date will hold up! I placed my order/deposit on [3/9/22] for the 110X. I will be sending the Pangea Green for a full matte wrap immediately after and adding my own rack, ladder, & gear box.
In the topic of the thread, I've confirmed for my impending MY23.5, the following will not be present (as with all MY23.5 Defenders):
- Sunglass Holder (piano black panel in it's place)
- Soft-Close Tailgate
- Seat integrated "Click & Go" Port
- Solid Seat Map Pockets --> switched to Netting

Nice should be sick, you know you can add the matte wrap from factory, plus it’s self-healing. It’s available for the Pangea green, only downside is it’s $4995.
