I have just loaded my latest video of a trip I did in my New Defender through Zimbabwe a few weeks ago where I basically lived out of it for two weeks. Im a beginner at this so forgive any technical errors. I hope you enjoy:
Class. What a great trip and video. Thanks for sharing it.
Had the pleasure of visiting Zimbabwe back in 2000 right when the currency was tanking. Drove from the SA border to Victoria falls with a big ol' drum of gas in the trunk and on to Zambia and Botswana thereafter.
Camping in the bush (Kruger Park SA not Zim) with lions etc was a fabulous experience. An amazing part of the world. Very envious of your travels and setup.
thanks so much for sharing! really enjoyed it!! quick question… which brand of roof top tent did you use? it appears it attaches to the jlr brand roof rack… which i am in the market for. thanks so much!
Smithbp it is a Eeziawn tent. Very comfortable and easy to setup. Let me know and I will take a picture of the bracket I used. Basically made a T piece that sits up side down and clamps the the underside and across two rails. One on each side in the front and one on each side at the back.
@BruceT thanks for the info!! helps to know it went around 2 of the rails. did you have to don anything to raise the rails... as i have seen guys do for roof top boxes? thanks again for the great videos!
It didn’t wrap around the bars. No I didn’t raise them.
Here is a picture. Where my two fingers are is where two bars from the roof rack went through (obviously a bit wider). Sorry hard to show. Hope this helps
