Looks tight. Did they wrap or paint the calipers and do you mind if I ask what they charged for all of that?

Thanks.

They painted the calipers, applied matching OEM font "Land Rover", and then clear coated. I would have to double check, but I believe it was around $1,200 for the caliper work.

Oh, sorry, I meant the whole truck.

Ah sorry, complete list of work from this high-end shop that does the dealer after-market PPF and related work:

1. Tint front windows
2. Paint calipers, add OEM font, and then clear coat
3. Fix/remedy most of the minor Trophy vinyl wrap issues (no charge)
4. Apply full body XPEL PPF (except sides of roof due to rack) - includes door handles, headlights, 11.4" screen, interior door sills, headlights, etc.)
5. Apply full body XPEL Ceramic Fusion+

TOTAL: $9,700 (including tax)

Dealer was out of loaners, so this shop provided me with a Tesla Model S as a courtesy car. Took a week to complete. It's a lot of money, but the rig is fully protected and both the PPF and ceramic coating are warrantied (have to bring in the rig once a year for inspection). I plan on keeping this for a while, so figured I would get it done now while the finish was still unblemished. This was my first time applying PPF and ceramic coating, very pleased with how it turned out - the Trophy vinyl wrap now looks more as if it was painted.

It's going to take a damn boulder to get to that paint. It looks obviously better in the pictures than just the factory wrap so I'd imagine it looks great in person. They definitely spent some time on it!

Thanks!

@Craig_RRS2013 - I'll keep the questions coming....(thanks for being generous with the replies): what is the warranty period? If you come in annually for an inspection I'm thinking it is pretty long.

If I could work myself up to thinking it would last for a while how I would treat it, I would ABSOLUTELY copy this. I love the old school British Racing Green and this one nailed it (IMHO).

I am sure you know there is a sibling of your Trophy Ed. in Moab at the GARR right now, running on 37" tires and a 5" subframe lift? It's from the Denver, CO dealer, I believe. A bit too much tire and lift for my taste (for one, a 5" lift wouldn't fit in my garage), but it does look unstoppable, and certainly quite unique with that wrap.

You need a set of Duratracs on that rig, those stock Adventures don't look the part.
it's a beast!

@GrouseK9 - I have to double check, but I believe the warranty is 4 years for the ceramic coating and 10 years for the PPF.

That's a pretty sweet Defender...not sure what green that it, but I don't think it's "British Racing green". My two previous Sports were Aintree green, absolutely loved that color with the Almond interior. Was hoping to see something similar for the Defender, but doesn't look like it's happening any time soon - so opted for the Trophy Edition.

Gtechniq Halo is a film coating I've heard a lot of good things about. I have a neighbor who uses it on 3 wrapped cars and he swears by it. Makes sense to me that you wouldn't use a regular paint coating.

here's a review

Probably the worst looking wheels I have ever seen. Unbelievable.

Color is sharp though.
