Green is cool, I agree the wheels are tough on the eyes, like lego moon buggy wheels or something, would like to see it with white steelies for a comparison. I would've loved a darker green color Defender to have been in the configurator when I was shopping. I still probably would've gone with the carpathian but it would've been nice to see it. The yellow I can't warm up to at all though. I'm sorry. It looks ok but it's almost like if I call a checker cab in the woods I expect this to show up. lol It doesn't work for me, but I'm glad there are people who appreciate it more. I mean it's a Defender, it's cool, it will turn heads but I'll leave it at that.

Is it worth getting wheel arch protection on the trophy? I've been waffling purely because I am worried it may mess with the aesthetics...

The GOAT: Steve (aka CO Trails). He created what he believes is a true nod to the Trophy legacy. He started modding L663s with "Big Bertha" stuffing 33's under it then 35's. Now the Trophy has 37's. Not sure if he took a "base" Trophy & went from there or if he wrapped/painted one and then upped the ante. I suspect the former. Haven't seen videos of it in action but his 35" Bertha is a beast and takes on most everything in Colorado. I believe he's the Sales VP at Denver Land Rover, so if you want one tricked out - it seems the logical place to start.

Is the spare actually mounted to the door? How much weight can the door hinges support? The tire is huge!!!

Lol, he is! Steve's building me a black p400 Bertha specs right now. Looking forward to it. I'm in CA. But they were the only ones that could do that level build on the new defender. I drove Bertha and she's awesome!
