Just got this beauty. It pained me to trade my ‘14 FJ Cruiser 6-speed manual, but I did it. I got the 110S P400 with off-road tires, bully bumper, skid plate engine protection and tow package. Time to add on all the good stuff. Got an Explorer roof rack on order w/ awning mounts and front wind fairing. My typical use is towing an Airstream Basecamp to out of the way places, set up camp, go off exploring the backcountry. First three electrical upgrades include trailer brake controller (Redarc Tow-pro Elite); SAE charge port (Battery Tender 5A Charger); and a 500w power inverter (Roarbatt Pure Sine Wave). Since I have coil suspension, I plugged the inverter into the 60 amp relay socket meant for air shocks. After this round I’m thinking a Baja front grill light bar, LED reverse lights, mud flaps and fender flares. That should do it as well as breaking the bank.
I think I saw your FJ Cruiser on the lot a week ago. I had driven down there in my 80 series Land Cruiser and the salesman pointed out the Cruiser and told me how cool it was. I think he knew it would be of interest to me since I was in my 80.
Save your money on the eye candy (front grill light bar, mud flaps, fender flares, etc.) and get yourself a proper set of rock sliders so you can explore even more places with your Basecamp.
