Not bad at all really. The front end looks more pleasing than expected and overall design as well. It will certainly make the Youtube rounds when it comes out but will it be a hit? Maybe if LR engineered it correctly and it doesn't short out on the trails. At least it has the integrated winch. And then there's the price. Will it be priced out of most peoples budget. Probably so. A Jeep Wrangler Rubicon is $45k. I can't imagine this being cheaper, probably more along the $70k+ area. If a Discovery is $65-70k, a Defender can't be less can it? Land Rover will have to do a major marketing campaign for this. They SHOULD do another global challenge and really get some attention. Soon Toyota will announce the new 4Runner redesign, Ford the Bronco. The 4Runner is long overdue but it falls into a different category. But, it is a top seller among off-road enthusiast. I doubt the Bronco will be an "off-road" marketed vehicle. Will the Defender compete with the LC and the Gwagen? Will we see an Orange Defender!!

I have heard rumor the base will be $50k. If that is the 90 or 110 version I don’t know.

I dig it. It’s not a solid axle farm tractor with a power wash style interior, but it has strong lines and a blocky feel so I am optimistic.

I never want to look under that hood, most new vehicles have sea monsters in there I’m sure

If the base price is $50k, I believe it will sell. People want something new to show off around town and at that price point it could work. Again, I hope LR has tested and re-tested and re-tested this thing. If it has problems from the start, it will be the end.

I agree Land Rover under Ford seemed to be improving quite a bit in the fit and finish category but seems to be trending down again.

Seems like they have been running it all over the place to generate interest hopefully they have found the problems while they were at it.

Comments here describe it as a bloated Honda Element... These are some tough critics though...

I am cautiously optimistic, although I agree the price point needs to stay around 50K to start. I just wonder why air suspension is going to be an option and not standard on the Defender?

For folks like me that love to go bashing out into nowhere. I have no EAS fears on my LR3.

It gives me hope that there are low tech version options from the factory
