BaT seems to be the place to shift original Defenders but so far there’s only been a couple of special edition new ones pass though. Im surprised as they’ve been difficult to get for the last couple of years and although BaT doesn’t like new cars, they’ve gone though a bunch of Rivians and ton of new Broncos, so it’s weird the new Defender is treated as mainstream.

Anyway, I’ve no affiliation to this V8, but I love it. I don’t know if it’s anyone on here but I wonder if it’ll sell for enough to recoup the money spent on it

That’s my point, but the Broncos somehow pass? It’s an odd decision. An anniversary did go through there so I thought it got in as it was limited edition. I’m guessing Cars & bids is the place to auction them

 

Yes, he also tried Cars & Bids, but they wanted to force a certain reserve amount, meaning that if it was to hit that number, he would be "forced" to sell it.
I advised him against it, ultimately he found a local buyer for a little more money that C&B's reserve number.

 

I'll be really curious if this sells and for how much. It's at $60k now with a day to go.

I have to believe that the owner is into this for at least $120-125K possibly more.

 

I like the wheels a lot. Are those alloys or steelies?

 

More than likely even more $$$ than that! I was shopping at the same time this seller says he bought this truck and V8's were untouchable. Most dealers that would even sell you the truck wanted 150k+. Besides all the custom work this guy put into the truck inside and out (I bet there is 30-50k just there). Will be interesting where BAT has made him set the reserve and if it will make it.

 

I can't tell from the pic. Is that pangea or a custom green? Pangea is the chameleon of greens. Every time I see it, it appears to be a different hue. Then again, it could be that slight drinking problem of mine...

 

Never mind. Just read thru the details of the post. It's matte green wrap.

 

I smell massive depreciation loss here caused by cave in to "market adjustments" - aka dealer mark-ups. I hope am wrong though.
