Who knows if we will get it. I doubt it since they’ve been secretly talking about it and nothing has come of it.

Count me out. Sounds as dumb as a self-driving car. Oh wait, there already is a dummy making cars that drive themselves. Also capable of killing the driver or others nearby. If someone can’t park their own car, they shouldn’t be able to possess a license.

Time to dig further with the GAP G4 to see if we can figure out which CCF's will give us RC toy control!

Is that Elon sitting up there, testing his self-driving car? That looks way safer than a Tesla, probably crashes less, too.

The first picture is from 2019, yes, because he’s showing that it’s been promised for a long time. But the latter ones are from 5 days ago, showing that it’s “coming to an App Store near you soon.”

I have had a few times extreme off-roading in my Jeep where I’d have gotten out and used this rather than stay in it and risk a flop with me inside (thankfully never actually went over), but I don’t imagine myself ever doing anything hardcore enough with an L663 to warrant getting out (unless maybe because I want to film it going over rocks or something — I’m usually solo when I’m out in Moab.

As for parking, SERIOUSLY? This is the first vehicle I’ve ever had as my own car (not counting wife’s cars) that had a backup camera. Much less a forward cam and side cams and cams that show the truck from 15 feet behind it, etc. How on earth could someone need to get out for a parking manouever in the city with a current Defender?

I've got a MY23.5 D90S (P300) and Gap G4 already, and it's a no-go for mine - so far.

We are either missing a setting or three and / or missing a camera or sensor of some kind.

Everything works, pick parallel or on street parking, let it find a spot (you have to be going under 18mph) and you pick a spot. Then the button to make the mamuevers is grayed out. AFAIK nobody has it working, and I know that third parties offer it for RR and jr models, but not L663.

That is why I concluded we're missing something.

hmm, my 2017 Disco used to have some parking assist features like that, and they are absent in my '22 D5 with Pivi Pro. (though mine is a weird build, because at the time, they couldn't even have Adv. Tow Assist AND Configurable Terrain Response 2 at the same time. always thought that would be addressed in an update but Nope.)

BTW, here is a link to the owner's guide info on Park Assist via the app in the FFRR.
