Default No Power Steering

For the second time in a month, i start the car in the morning and the power steering is not operating. Turning the wheel is very difficult. If i drive for 2-3 minutes it comes back. Has anyone else experienced this?

my power steering went out for about 10 seconds, along with all the electrical in the driver side door. power steering came back but door power did not.

dealer traced it to a loose wiring harness which fixed the electrical, except for the door lock actuator which gets fixed next week.

not sure if the short loss of power steering was tied to the harness or not.

Very common...issues like this are part of the adventure of owning a Land Rover.

Put put a 10MM wrench in your glove box in case you need to disconnect the negative battery terminal and do a "hard reset" to get the power steering back. Like this insulated one:

That one right there by @PaulLR ! I just duct taped it to the side of the battery. Haven't used it, but I think of it like carrying an umbrella in my cars. It's a talisman against bad weather....

This and another recent posting in a different thread have nspired me to order the insulated 10mm wrench! I've never had an issue but seems best to be prepared at such a small cost. Thanks for posting the link.

Genius Idea. Of course I had it towed to the dealership, I wonder what they are doing to my car right now?

Someone posted a pic over on Defender2 showing the OS update 4.1.5
In the release notes it says this issue has been addressed.
