Default No Start . No Crank

Please Help!

My 2020 Defender is no Starting no cranking at all! No any warning messages on dashboard to indicate the problem. I only hear clicking by the battery side on the back and slightly clicking under the hood ( see the video )

So I am wondering where is the problem! The 12v was dead and I got a brand new one and already rest the BMS and all codes via icarsoft LR v4.00.

Do you think the 48v is bad? Is so how can I charge it or fix it? Do you know any special shops I can test the 48v battery at? I am in Orange County. California.

Or you think it’s smth else ?? It also shows that the hybrid state of charge is low. How can I fix that?

Thank you so much

12 v battery is dead. Put it on a charger to see if it can be revived.

Did you have the battery activated? It is highly recommended to reset the Battery Monitoring System (BMS) using a diagnostic tool.

Could this be related to the DC-DC converter issue? Have you checked if you are covered in the recall? How did it all start, i.e. how did you get to the dead 12V battery? Did you ever get the "electrical fault has been detected Pull over Safely"?

I dont know if this will work or ever has worked on a defender but try disconnecting the negative battery cable for 10 minutes. Reconnect and try to start it up.

Hi Jooolr,
First, I'd test the battery voltage; it should be at least 12.5 volts (minimum 12.3 volts under load).
Secondly, you need to check the battery terminal connections, making sure the bolts are tightened correctly (poor tightening will cause the BMS relay to trip, blocking the starting current).
I don't know what procedure you used to replace the battery. If you also disconnected the fuse box wiring, make sure it's also tightened properly.
Third, if that doesn't work, try resetting the BMS again.

I definitely tried that even for over night. Doesn’t work!
