Default OCTA and Side Storage Pocket

The sides of my OCTA's center console are covered in a material, I'm guessing maybe Ultrafabric, and it folds over into the openings on the side of the console face.

I'm curious if anyone has successfully fitted the "Lock-In Center Console Storage Pockets" to an OCTA center console.

I've tried carefully to install them but they will require more force to pop into place than I'm comfortable putting on them, last thing I want to do is damage that material in the process.

I know some Defender consoles sides are a finished plastic and I wonder if the added thickness on my console, even as slight as it is, becomes a problem. Do any other Defender trims have a material on the side panels and have they been successful adding the storage pockets?

I want to know also as I have an Octa on order.

Did your Octa come with the side pockets or are these after market?

I do not have an Octa, but my 2025 P400 came with the side cover pockets and the do fit in easily, not force required. Not sure this helps you, but noting it as reference.

Mine are the factory part that I ordered separately. None came with the OCTA which could be a clue.

I have pockets in my 2025 which I want to use in my Octa (on order). Not sure what part is rubbing or too tight but wondering if you can sand it down or something to make it fit?

The pockets are great and create another enclosed storage area which is important in the Octa since you don't have the under platform area in the back in the Octa.

@PNW Rover Were you able to modify these to get them to work?

I need to take a closer look and see. I was at the dealer a few weeks ago and looked at an upper spec 110 and checked out the opening, it is molded plastic and as we know the OCTA has a material on the sides that wrap into the opening decreasing the opening space slightly.

On the pockets there is a felt like material on the outer edges that I wonder if it could be pulled off to provide the needed clearance. In the Lucky8 video showing pocket install they state it is a tight fit - and that's on a Defender with standard console sides. I'm really hesitant for force it. I pondered the other day about putting them on the Marketplace here for a great price just so I don't sit on them forever. I'd really like to chat with the Defender model manager at JLR USA to see if there is a plan for pockets that fit but I assume the call center will just have me reach out to a dealer. Might be rainy day project / investigation.
