Does anyone prefer all-weather mats with a little better traction than the OEM options?
I'm looking into the HSX mats from PowerfulUK, but unfortunately they only are available for RHD models and I'm in the US.

Cheers

I still like my weathertec mats I posted about above. No issues yet although I'd like to find a third row floor mat still (its the very narrow one that I can only find an OEM version of).

I ordered these from Land Rover Darien and I also got the carpet mats with the truck. So far I haven't even bothered to see what these look like aside from the rear liner.

If anyone wants pictures speak up.

Yes, I have that OEM set. I've noticed when I get into the Defender the all-weather mats can be slippery. Hoping to find replacements that have deeper grooves and better traction. :-)

I went with the weathertech mats all around. Here's my results:

- Front: Love them! They are deep welled and really do a great job. I tossed the "Premium" ones that came with the Defender and don't look back.
- Middle: Love them! I liked that they were 1 piece and not three separate sections to squirrel around back there. They have worked very well.
- Back: Hated it! Tossed it out and now use it for a mat before walking into my shop. It was too slick and would shift around. I liked that they were reasonably high walled, but they just seemed cheesy as all H. I went with the OEM load space mats and really love those. Just the beef I needed for all the stuff I tossed in back. Don't shift at all and can handle the abuse. Wish they went up higher (especially being a paranoid MHEV owner), but it is what it is.

I have always been a fan of Weathertech mats, and purchase them immediately after any new car purchase, as the protection they provide far outweighs the cost. When I received delivery of my MY22 Dynamic X-SE, I did some research and bought from a company I hadn’t previously heard of before. They are TUXMATS, out of Canada. Best mats I’ve owned, bar none. The fit is precise, they come up high on all sides, cover the dead pedal, and are one continuous piece for the rear row floor. They have a ‘quilted’ cushy feel, and since I drive barefoot the majority of the time, they are like planting your feet on a gel pad. Fully waterproof, yet they have a high end appearance, in contrast to Weathertech’s plastic look. Took my Defender back to the dealer a week later for a minor issue and showed them to my salesman. He took pictures and said he was going to order them for his private vehicle. Check them out, I love mine.

Few will understand this. ^

I've also been so unhappy with my last couple of Weathertech load-space liners that I tossed them and will never buy their products again. Like an ice rink back there.

Good point. For those who haven't seen the threads, several months ago a Defender owner bought a gallon of paint from a big box store. On the way home, it rattled around back there and burst open. Rather than just painting the load space, it poured down under to where all the lithium batteries & chargers & etc. are stored for the MHEV's. It was so bad that they "totalled" the Defender. They lost the vehicle because insurance declared it a total loss. SO, if you have an MHEV - be VERY careful what liquids you store back there & how or you may have an unpleasant surprise. I've thought about better ways to moisture proof it, but haven't schemed enough to figure something out.

I got the weather tech liners but since i have replaced them with factory deep sided mats for my D90.

The 2 issues that i had with the weather tech are:

1. the liner only covers the dead pedal partially

2. the material is too plastic-like as opposed to rubber-like
